The type of lens used during your cataract surgery will depend on a number of factors, including your current vision and personal preferences. Dr. María Soledad Romero MD offers several IOLs, including premium options, to meet the vision goals of every patient.

? Monofocal IOLs: These lenses correct distance vision in patients without astigmatism. Glasses or contacts may still be required for distance vision and reading after surgery.

? Premium Multifocal IOLs: These lenses focus on distance, intermediate, and near vision. They can also correct astigmatism, allowing most patients to be free of glasses and contacts after surgery. Some patients will still need glasses to work on a computer or tablet.

? Premium Toric IOLs: These lenses correct astigmatism and distance vision.

? Premium Extended Depth of Focus IOLs: These lenses provide patients with better vision across a broad range of distances. Some patients will still need glasses to read very small print.
